Stripes that works

Stripes is always one of my favorite thing to wear or style.
It looks great on photo shoot and easy to wear in any occasion.
I choose those photos because the color are fun, bright and wearable.

Stylist policies for Holt Renfrew

Editorial shoots merchandise loans policies and procedures

  1. Holt Renfrew loans merchandise for pre-approved projects, in mainstream fashion publications where credit (preferably on-page credit) is guaranteed.

  1. We ask that you limit your pulls to 15 pieces or less, to lessen impact on our daily business and loss of potential sales—which is our overriding priority.

  1. We ask that you return goods within a max. 48 hour timeframe. All items must be returned in the same condition and manner as it was loaned (i.e. on hangers, buttoned up, with tags on etc.)

  1. We require a letter from the editor/publisher, authorizing the stylist and assuming responsibility for any loss or damage, payment at full retail price.

  1. We reserve the right to edit pulls.

  1. Fine jewellery needs to be pre-arranged, and its use subject to approval. We may need to have a security person attend the shoot, depending on value.

  1. We do not loan merchandise over the weekend. Please give at least one week notice in advance of any shoot, again taking into account weekends.

  1. All stylists must sign into Personal Shopping at their pre-arranged appointment. Upon arrival, you will be given an HR visitor sticker to wear visibly so that all associates on the floor are aware that you are a stylist, authorized to pull.

  1. Pick up and drop off of goods will always be coordinated thru Personal Shopping. In unusual circumstances, our Loss Prevention department can be called upon for advice or assistance.

  1. The following are restricted from being pulled:

    1. Sale items
    2. Footwear
    3. Carole Tannenbaum Jewellery
    4. Tom Ford merchandise
    5. Out of season merchandise
    6. Swimwear bottoms (unless off-figure shot)
    7. No lingerie bottoms (unless off-figure shot)
    8. No packaged goods (e.g. boxed garments)

One of a Kind Vancouver Show 2011

About One of a Kind Vancouver

The One of a Kind Show is North America’s answer to contemporary craft shows, bringing innovative artisans, craftspeople, and designers together to share their unique creations with the rest of the world. With a proud focus on homegrown talent, our shows bring together the best of the best, for a personal shopping experience like no other. Our vast selection, on-site perks and endless show features make us the most preeminent shopping destination of the season.

SHOW HISTORY

Similar to most brilliant ideas, the One of a Kind Show was born out of a simple desire for something more. Premiering at Toronto's Queen Elizabeth Building in December 1975, the "craft show" was the brainchild of  Steven Levy, Martin Rumack  and June Bibby. June (herself an artisan) couldn't find a place to sell her work before Christmas, so the three friends decided to create their own holiday shopping venue. After a great deal of leg work and countless all-nighters, the trio launched the first One of a Kind Show, which encompassed 25 000 square feet and 80 participants.

The One of a Kind concept expanded in 1979 to include the One of a Kind Show (Toronto) and again in 2001 with the One of a Kind Show and Sale Chicago. Attracting over 200 000 visitors annually, our two Toronto shows have become a Canadian shopping tradition for those in search of the unique, handcrafted and the fantastic.  Launched in 2008, the One of a Kind Show Vancouver continues the established brand, professionalism and extraordinary experience with west coast flair. Meet and holiday shop for exceptional gifts from more than 200 of North America's best contemporary creators, artists and artisans.

The
One of a Kind Christmas Show, One of a Kind Spring Show, One of a Kind Show Vancouver,  Interior Design Show, Interior Design Show West and IIDEX/NeoCon Canada are a family of events that produce the most innovative trade shows in the country. Collectively, we are known as MMPI Canada.

The Royal Wedding and Kate Wedding Dress!

The Royal Wedding Prince William & Catherine Middleton
Friday 29 Apr 2011 at Westiminister Abbey
For now i only talk about Kate wedding dress.
Kate Middleton dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
The dress is made from hand-cut English lace, French Chantilly lace, and ivory and white satin gazar. The lace appliques were handmade by the Royal School of Needlework using a technique called Carrickmacross that originated in Ireland in the 1820s. The lace workers washed their hands every 30 minutes and replaced their needles every three hours to ensure that the lace remained pure white. The flowers designs in the lace are of actual flowers: rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock.

For more details you could check out their office Royal wedding wetsite.

I also can't help it to select their wedding highlight here because this is the current biggest event.

Love Japanese Fashion!

I like this website even though i know it's not fashion designated website. They are the largest cosmetics manufacturer in Japan, Shiseido makes and markets makeup and skin care products for men and women. The company was founded in 1872 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Its 20-plus brands include namesake Shiseido, Elixir Superieur, Maquillage, and Integrate; they're sold in department stores, as well as chain, general merchandise and drugstores
In Canada, we only see very small portion of their makeup line and style, But they are very popular all over Asia where i grew up from. I'm sure many of your if ever live in Asia you will know about it.
I've followed their website for many years and learned about how to put your looks all together from head to toe.Their style is wearable in everyday look or a special occasion date.
Every season they list their new products along with several outfit for each look.
Also they list all the makeup and outfit they have used on model and where to find.
They do have update looks styling in flat post on http://www.fashionnews.jp.
The only downside is their website only show in Japanese. I believe fashion speak the same language, so it's not issue for me :).
